Project Discover Teaching Team:
Project Discover teachers are enthusiastic, creative and committed to the children they teach.
Project Discover offers teachers a chance to:
Connect with kids who have limited educational opportunities
Explore new ways of teaching and learn about their craft
Collaborate with other teachers
Mentor younger teachers-in-training

Co-Teacher
The Co-Teacher collaboratively researches, develops, and implements the academic program and classroom management policy for the students in Project Discover. The Co-Teacher also serves as a mentor to the Apprentice Teacher in his/her classroom.
The Co-Teacher is responsible for communicating student progress to families in his/her classroom at the end of the summer program.
Co-Teachers meet regularly with the Program Manager and Program Director during the summer to report on the progress of the summer program.
Project Discover's teacher orientation takes place the week before the start of the summer program.

Apprentice Teacher
Apprentice Teachers are junior or senior high school students with a desire to develop professional skills in the field of education. Apprentice teachers support Co-Teachers in implementing the academic program during Project Discover. Apprentice Teachers also ride the bus with the Discovers to and from the program each day during the summer.
Program Manager
The summer program is supervised by the Program Manager. The Program Manager attends to the day-to-day administrative needs of the summer program. The Program Manager is the primary contact person for parents and others while the summer program is in session.
